Movie Review*z :: MELANCHOLIA, is a movie staring Kirsten Dunst who is having a very lavish wedding, paid for by her sister’s husband, and dealing with normal problems and activities throughout the wedding day. Ironicaly while the celebration is occuring, a planet named Melancholia is heading straight for Earth. I really liked this movie! It was a very different interpretation of a disaster movie. Director Lars Von Trier has taken something and made it his own. The slow feel and opaque look to the film makes sense because you just know that this planet is gonna crash into earth so its sad when you see Kirsten Dunst reconcile with her Mom or a child who wants to get tucked in bed hours before the world explodes. I say that this movie is UNFORGETTABLE and give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
